About Me!

Hey there and welcome to my page!
A little bit about me...
I am a native Southern Californian, born and raised in Thousand Oaks. I am a product of Catholic education, attending St. Paschal Baylon Elementary School in T.O., first through eighth grade, and then Louisville High School in Woodland Hills. I come from a large and loud Irish/Italian family, with three older brothers and three sister-in-laws. I also have the cutest niece and nephew, you can check out their photos in my classroom when you stop by!
I have a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations & Advertising, with minors in English and Film Studies, from Chapman University. During my junior year at Chapman I studied abroad in Florence, Italy and had the best time ever! After graduating from Chapman, I spent three years working in the entertainment industry before discovering that my true passion was in education. For many years I would sub as an aide or fill in where necessary at my alma mater, St. Paschal's, where my mom was the principal and it was during this time I finally recognized my calling after spending time with some of my teachers, who then became my mentor teachers.
I joined the faculty at St. Ignatius of Loyola School in Los Angeles in 2014 as the second grade teacher, where I spent a wonderful four years. During my time there I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education and my California State Teaching Credential from Loyola Marymount University. In 2018, I joined the American Martyrs faculty teaching fourth grade, which was my favorite year as a student.
When I am not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family, especially when we can get the whole crew together. I also love to watch and play soccer, go snowboarding in Mammoth, hang out at the beach, and watch my favorite team - Go Notre Dame! I have been very blessed to travel a lot, my favorite place that I have visited so far is Greece, and I can't wait for my next adventure! Singing show tunes and pretending to be a Broadway star is my absolute favorite pastime, if you come by my classroom in the afternoon then odds are you will hear me singing along to some of my favorite Broadway shows! :)
I am so happy to be a part of the wonderful American Martyrs School community! Thank you for checking out my page!
