Biography

Hi! Welcome to my 3A classroom website. I’m so excited to be a part of the American Martyrs community and to get to know you and your families. I can’t wait for a brand new school year!

I was born and raised in the Potomac/Bethesda area of Maryland where my family belongs to the Our Lady of Mercy Parish. I decided to move to Santa Monica, California in August of 2019 for a brand new adventure. I was lucky enough to land my dream job in the third grade at American Martyrs, where I have worked since 2019. I absolutely love the community of teachers, parents, and students that I am surrounded by each day here.

I have a degree in Elementary Education from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I also have a degree in Special Education: Learning Disabilities from American University in Washington, DC. I worked at the Lab School in Washington DC for a year, which is a school for students with Learning Disabilities. I then went on to teach third grade for three years at Blessed Sacrament School, a Catholic school in Chevy Chase. I absolutely love teaching, especially at a Catholic School!

In my free time, I love to be outside. My family and I spend the summers in Indian Beach, Delaware with our golden retrievers Roxy & Daisy. We love to surf and go to yoga classes. I have always loved playing sports, and athletics and exercise are a big part of my life. I have coached youth basketball teams and worked at lacrosse and field hockey summer camps.

Thanks for coming to my page. I hope you learned lots about me, and I hope to see you soon!
