Biography

Dr. Camryn Friel has served as the principal of American Martyrs since August 2009. She previously served as the vice principal of St. Mel School in Woodland Hills. Prior to stepping into the vice principal role, she taught junior high math and science, and was a Student Council Moderator, an Academic Decathlon coach, and Religion Coordinator. She has also taught at St. Rose of Lima School. 

A graduate of St. Mel School and Louisville High School, she holds a B.A. from the University of Southern California, a M.S. in Education from Mount St. Mary's College, a M.A. in Catholic School Administration from Loyola Marymount University, has a credential in mathematics for secondary schools as well as an administrative credential and an Ed.D in Educational Leadership for Social Justice.
