Mr. Courtney is beginning his 13th year working at American Martyrs School. 2022 will mark his second year in the role of Vice Principal of Student Affairs. Prior to this role Mr.C. was a Physical Education teacher at AMS since 2014. Prior to joining the Physical Education Department he taught as an aide in the Pony classroom here at American Martyrs School beginning in 2012. In addition to working in the classroom he has served as an Academic Decathlon coach, a Faculty Mentor, and a coach in the Athletic Department.

 

Mr. C holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts, and a Masters in Physical Education Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills. He is also a nationally certified soccer coach with licenses from the United States Soccer Federation.

 

Mr.C believes in a safe, inclusive learning environment geared towards educating the whole child. Students should have the opportunity to develop their commitment and conviction with our Catholic faith. He believes in guiding the energy of our students in a respectful, helpful and valuable manner in order to strengthen our American Martyrs School Community.
