My name is Rosemary Henderson and I am beginning my 14th year here at AMS, and 29th year as a teacher in the Los Angeles Archdiocese. I feel very blessed and happy to be a part of this wonderful American Martyrs School and community and to be the 7A homeroom and religion teacher, and humanities teacher to half of the 7th graders.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in a small town in the north of Ireland, and have 3 sisters and 2 brothers who all still live in Ireland. I attended the University of Ulster where I completed my degree in social studies and education. After graduation, I spent two years in Kenya as a volunteer teacher, afterward returning to Ireland where I taught for one year. Then I came to California where I have resided for the last 38 years. I am very happily married to my best friend, Frank, and am blessed to be the mother of a wonderful 27-year-old son called Brendan who is a certified public accountant.

In my leisure time, I enjoy running, yoga, traveling, reading, and hanging out with my friends and family. I still love being a teacher and hope that I can share my passion for learning with all my students this year.
