Welcome to a new school year! I'm very excited about teaching 6th and 7th grade Science.
I am a local girl and grew up in the South Bay attending Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mira Costa High School, earning a B.A. from CSULB in Liberal Studies and completed my graduate work at UCLA with an emphasis in Math and Science. I have been an educator for 30 years in both public and private schools. It has been a blessing teaching here at AMS for the past 18 years, teaching grades 3, 6, and Junior High Math and Science.

In my leisure time I enjoy playing volleyball, quilting, swimming, and spending time with my 3 beautiful children (when they are home from college). Samantha (25), Molly (23), and Luke (22) are all alumni of AMS and I have had the privilege of being their teacher.
I decided to become an educator so that I could inspire children to learn just as my teachers fostered my love of knowledge My favorite quote is, "Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers." Tennyson

I am looking forward to a school year filled with learning and growth!
