Sylvia Tieman has been the Director of the ECC (Extended Care Center) for 20 years Since creating the program, Sylvia's goals have remained the same, "To provide a safe and fun place to land for AMS students after their day in school." Through the years, there have been many changes and improvements in program offerings and facility locations, as ECC has grown with the school. Providing care for  over 80 AMS students in grades Pony thru 8th, some of the activities offered are: art s & crafts, Legos, board games, outdoor play equipment, books, and two homework labs from 3:30 - 4:30 pm. Homework lab tutors are AMS faculty members.

Sylvia studied ECE Child Development at El Camino College and recently returned to Marymount Califonrnia University to complete her B.A. and is proud to say she made the Dean's List her first semester! She lives in Rolling Hills Estates with her husband, Mark, daughter, Taylor and son, Jake.
