Dress Code for Costumes:
* In consideration of our youngest students, costumes cannot show any realistic displays of blood, injury or acts of violence.
* For safety reason, including situations that require an urgent evacuation of the school, costumes cannot prevent safe movement of the student or pose a risk to other students. (i.e. costumes that can pose tripping hazard, restrict leg movement, etc.)
* As per school policy, students cannot carry items that can be used or look like a weapon.
* All costumes must conform to Non-Uniform Dress code as specified in Parent/Student handbook page 58.
Students who fail to comply with this may be asked not to participate in the parade and/or face other consequences as deemed appropriate by faculty or administration.
Parents who choose to be in costume are strongly advised to consider costumes that are appropriate for a school environment, follow the same guidelines that the students follow, and that reflect school culture and values.
