Biography

Mrs. Erica Bear has been serving as the upper school music teacher at American Martyrs School since 2019. In addition to being a music teacher, she will be teaching a Da Vinci course. She has many years of experience teaching music and using her music & worship experience to serve schools, churches, and non-profit organizations. 

Mrs. Bear holds a B.A. in Communications, Minor in Music from Azusa Pacific University and a Master of Theology & Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary, with an emphasis in Theology, Worship & the Arts.

Mrs. Bear is passionate about teaching, music, and encouraging life-long learning. She loves helping students find joy in music and discover their gifts, and she feels excited and blessed to be a part of our American Martyrs community.

In addition to teaching music, she enjoys leading worship at church and songwriting. She recently released her first single, based on Psalm 27:8, titled "Seek Your Face." When she is not making music, she enjoys reading, beach volleyball, gluten-free baking, and traveling with her husband.
