Mr. Richard Billups joined the AMS community as Upper School Vice Principal in 2021. A career educator in Catholic Schools, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in History from Loyola Marymount University and continued his educational foundation at LMU earning a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education, CA Single Subject Credential in English, and a Master’s Degree in Catholic School Administration. Richard taught English at both the elementary and high school levels for 16 years. During his career, he has also served as an Assistant Principal (at St. Jerome School and St. Monica Catholic High School) and Principal (at St. Paul the Apostle and St. Bernard).
 
Mr. Billups is excited to serve the American Martyrs community and participate in the parish as well.  He enjoys working with the Upper School staff to help develop faith filled persons of excellence who provide service to others and act with integrity.
