About Me...

Hi, welcome to my classroom website, I'm so happy you stopped by.  I'm really looking forward to getting to know you and your children and can't wait to experience a brand new school year with you.

A little bit about me...

I am a native Southern Californian, born and raised right here in Manhattan Beach.  Although I did not attend AMS for schooling, I have been part of the American Martyrs Church community my entire life.  I was Baptized here, as well as received my Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation and Matrimony from none other than our very own Monsignor Barry!  Being a part of this school and church community is a blessing and privilege to me and I am so thankful to be where I am.

I have an Applied Communications degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. I worked for the City of Manhattan Beach Parks and Recreation department for five years planning and coordinating city events, as well as the after school and summer camp programs for kids.  This is where I discovered my true passion for working with children and families which lead me to the decision to become a teacher.

I decided to return to school and work towards becoming an elementary school teacher.  I attended Pepperdine University where I received a Masters degree in Education and my California State Teaching Credential.  I began teaching full time in the classroom in 2007, and have experience in second, sixth, and third grade.  I absolutely love what I do, where I work, and the kids at our school!

For fun I enjoy spending time with my husband, our sons Leo and Rieger, family, friends, and of course our dog, Malla! On weekends you'll find me at the beach, boating, working in my yard and on my house, or just relaxing!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you've learned a little bit about me.  I look forward to getting to know more about you too!
