Emily Paz has served as Vice Principal of Upper School since 2016. She also taught 3rd grade for nine years and 6th grade for two years at American Martyrs. Prior to joining the AMS family, Dr. Paz taught K-8 Music and Junior High Social Studies and Religion at St. Jerome School in Westchester.

 

Dr. Paz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Oberlin College, a Master of Arts in Education and Doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from Loyola Marymount University, and a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.

 

American Martyrs has given Dr. Paz the opportunity to grow in her faith and as an educator. She is passionate about integrating best practices in curriculum and instruction with Catholic values and tradition alongside the exemplary AMS faculty and staff. She enjoys working with Upper School students, and providing them the foundation they need for success in high school and beyond.
