Technology

 
The Technology curriculum at American Martyrs School seeks to develop critical thinking and problem solving through the creation of meaningful digital artifacts. Students in K-8th grade develop understanding of digital literacy, internet safety and digital citizenship and utilize programs such as Google Workspace and Canva.com. Students in 7th & 8th grade learn the basics of video production and editing.

Coding
Students in K-6th grade explore the basics of computer science through Code.org’s block coding curriculum. Students in 7th grade develop graphics using Python Turtle programming and students in 8th grade build websites using HTML code. 

1-to-1 Chromebook Program
Students in Transitional Kindergarten-4th Grade have 1-to-1 Chromebooks in their classrooms. Students in grades 5-8 participate in the 1-to-1 Upper School Chromebook Program, which provides each student with a device to be used at school and at home.
